Obituary for Dorothy Kneeskern

Dorothy Kneeskern, 92, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, February 14, at home.

She was born May 26, 1925 in Waterloo, daughter of Gus and Mary Woock Delamore. She married Kenneth Kneeskern. He died in 1976.

Survivors include: four sons, Jim (Muriel) Kneeskern of Springfield, Mass., Bill Kneeskern and Albert “Chip” Kneeskern, both of Waterloo and Mark (Lisa) Kneeskern of Clarksville; two daughters, Lisa (Steve) Heiple and Krisann Kaumans, both of Waterloo; 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two great-great grandsons; and a brother, Don Delamore of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a son, Steve Knesskern; a daughter, Julie DeVries; a son-in-law, Dan Kaumans; three brothers, Jim, Chuck and Ed Delamore; and a sister, Frances Pierce.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. Legion of Mary rosary. Visitation will continue at the church for an hour before services on Tuesday.
