Important Message regarding COVID-19

As we continue to feel the impact of the coronavirus, we would like to share with you that we are taking extreme measures to keep our guests and staff safe. There are proper protocols in place and we stay updated from the ongoing changes that are developing from COVID-19. Our updates come from the Center of Disease Control, National Funeral Director Association and the Iowa Funeral Director Association.

Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service is committed to honor the families that we serve. However, there are challenges brought on by the coronavirus. We MUST follow the mandates set by our state and local guidelines. We will work with families to stay within those set guidelines. We are currently limited to 15 people in the building during a visitation and 50 people in the building at the time of a funeral as, per the IFDA,  it is considered a religious event. This number includes clergy and funeral home staff and is for the safety of the families we serve and to protect our staff. We are also asking that families do not bring food at this time.

We are practicing social distancing and ask that words be used to help the grieving and refrain from handshakes with families, guests and staff. We are paying close attention to highly touched areas, including but not limited to: restrooms, doors and door handles, telephones, computers and the vehicles that are driven.

Please know during this difficult and concerning time, you may leave heartfelt condolences on our website, hagartywaychoffgrarup.com. We will make sure the families are aware of your condolence.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to give us a call.  And thank you for your patience though this time.
